This gallery is composed exclusively of pictures of the Faux-Berge eggs
created by California artist Lynne De Boer. Started as a hobby, Lynne's "Faux-Berge' " jeweled eggs are
so creative, she can hardly keep up with demand. She uses ostrich, emu, goose, cockatiel, rhea and other eggs to start with,
then adds fine antique and vintage jewelry, 22K goldplated enhancements and Swarovski rhinestones, and imported satin brocades
and laces. Each of the "regular" eggs takes 20-30 hours to complete, with the carriage eggs taking 40-50 hours each.
While most of her eggs sell by word-of-mouth, they are also displayed in exclusive galleries/shops in Virginia and New
York, Dubai - U.A.E, are occasional auction items on eBay, are soon to be carried by some online stores and antique
shops in the Houston area. They have been in national magazines, featured in a special interest online magazine, and
have even caught the interest of other artists who have started to incorporate her work into their own creations, such as
doll artists. "Lynnie" has created over 350 one-of-a-kind, custom-ordered eggs. She is also my mother and one
heck of a cook and quilter too. You can contact her at FauxBergeEggs@sbcglobal.net. Enjoy!
